The Mays Family Culinary Center at the San Antonio Food Bank is the focal point of a transformative Culinary Training Program that addresses hunger through training of unemployed and underemployed individuals, who in turn nourish those in need. Mood Texas partnered with San Antonio Food Bank to install a uniquely designed presentation kitchen at their training facility to increase the productivity of their program.

THE Training Room Audiovisual Challenge

The challenge—help the San Antonio Food Bank improve their Mays Family Culinary Center to better connect their instructors with students in-person or virtually. We were charged with designing and creating a business communication solution that would encourage interaction from students and allow their chefs to engage and communicate in real-time.

OUR Audio VIDEO System Solution

Mood consultants developed a custom conference room av solution to give the San Antonio Food Bank a valuable, state-of-the-art connected classroom and training room. We began with installing discreet Vaddio 4K cameras above the instructors to livestream their culinary process to a large ceiling-mounted display. Incorporating video conference technology and a professional sound system allows the audience in the room, or at home, to follow along to, and view, real-time instruction. In tandem, we integrated a custom sound system complete with overhead QSC speakers, JBL Amplifiers, and an intuitive touch screen control system. QSYS control touch screens give the client the ability to easily control all audio and video functions of meeting spaces throughout the facility. Barco’s Clickshare wireless presentation tool provides the ability to share content wirelessly on multiple screens, cultivating an educational program that is more collaborative and interactive.
