Integrated, multi-zone audio and video system for Mexico Ceaty

ABOUT Mexico Ceaty

Mexico Ceaty is a ground-up reimagining of the dining destination: an open-market, food hall and market concept that brings eight distinct food, drink and retail experiences together under one roof at San Antonio’s Rivercenter. Spanning more than 20,000 square feet along the River Walk, it’s the work of acclaimed San Antonio chef Jason Dady and the Dady Family of Fare.

Guests can start the morning with pan dulce and café de olla at a panadería, share street tacos and ceviche in the bustling mercado, sip margaritas and share food over the river at a restaurant, browse artisan goods and more.

Every concept carries its own look and its own energy and, by design, its own sound. Built for an experience-driven, highly social crowd, Mexico Ceaty was created to be explored.

THE Challenge

Bringing that many concepts together under one roof created a rare audio and video challenge. Each concept needed to feel like its own world, with music and screens that matched its mood, yet the entire operation had to be simple enough for a single floor manager to run while walking the space.

The goal was simplicity. No stacks of remotes, no separate system for each area, no guessing which device ran which zone. One point of control for every speaker and every screen in the building.

OUR Solution

Mood Texas designed a fully integrated audio and video system that puts the entire venue at the operator’s fingertips, complete control from a single iPad.

At the heart of the AV and commercial sound system, our team built a geomap of the space that marks every speaker zone and every screen. From one interface, the floor manager can assign any music to any area and route any source to any combination of TVs instantly from a docking station. The restaurant can play one soundtrack while the open floor plays another, so the atmosphere shifts naturally as guests move from the panadería to the cantina to the tasting room.

The AV system pairs Sonance pendant and ceiling and surface mount speakers tuned zone by zone so each concept holds its own vibe. Audio and video run on one platform, managed from the same single pane of glass, so there’s never a separate system to learn. The result is a venue that feels effortless to run and immersive to move through.
